Republic of Korea - Approximately 4,000
individuals from over 70 countries in
Asia and the Pacific will gather in Busan, Korea during 26 to 30 August 2011
for the largest Forum on HIV/AIDS in the
region. From its inception in 1990, the
International Congress on AIDS in Asia
and the Pacific (ICAAP) has provided a
stage for all stakeholders of the
epidemic to collaborate toward the
better response to HIV/AIDS. The 10th
ICAAP: Diverse Voice, United Action
stresses the necessity of global
collaboration despite the existing
differences among the stakeholders.
AFPPD has been organizing
parliamentarians' sessions at the ICAAP
events in the past to expose
parliamentarians on the issue. At this
upcoming 10th ICAAP, various satellite
sessions will feature panels of
Asia-Pacific parliamentarians and
internationally known experts who will
analyse how to transform political
commitment into actions for AIDS
response.
The Asian Forum invites you to be part
of the AFPPD Satellite Session:
"Political Commitment and HIV/AIDS:
What's Next" at Conventional
Hall 105 on Saturday 27th August:
12.00-13.30 Hrs.
